“While Dead Cell is not a question of whether you might have fun or not playing it, the permadeath mechanism proved too tiring for me to work around sometimes. Sure, there is added tension that arises from knowing your failures in this respect can push one to become angry – in particular when the dead of progress was quite deep from a run.
For real, though, Dead Cells is just extremely rewarding in its overall execution if managed well. New and neat DLC keeps coming that breathes some life to maintain interest and a whole hell of an improvement effort behind the developer.

However, the combat is enjoyable, and the variety of enemies keeps you on your toes. If you’re a fan of challenging gameplay, this game is worth trying, but don’t go in expecting a strong storyline.”

I have played my fair share of roguelikes; Dead Cells, however, really plays very smoothly, and the artistic side is completely gorgeous! Controls are tight as can be. Even though the learning curve for this game can be tough to get through, tackling it can be really enjoyable. The new updates from the developers keep the game feeling alive due to the sheer amount and variety of new content every update brings. Every single time through is always different. I love discovering new weapon combinations and abilities!!

“Dead Cell is addicting! The progression feels great, and there’s nothing quite like seeing new weapons and abilities drop. The game is always hard, but it will never feel unfair. If you’re a graphics person, then Dead Cells is the game for you. The soundtrack really goes all out to make intensity happen. My only quibble is that sometimes a bad random generation can suck the fun out of these levels. Overall, very good for anyone who thinks they can handle a game.”
